Two girls aged 12 and 14 have been arrested in connection with the suicide of Florida girl Rebecca Ann Sedwick. Last month at the age of 12, Rebecca Anne Sedwick decided she could no longer handle the constant harassment and cyberbullying by her classmates. The young girl took her own life when she jumped to her death from the platform of an old concrete plant. Sedwick has been subjected to bullying both in person and via social media. Girls her age and a little older would tell Sedwick to kill herself, and often jump her after school.

The two girls were arrested on Monday after one of the tormentors continued to post nasty comments about Rebecca on Facebook. One of the girls who has been described as showing no remorse wrote on social media: "Yes I bullied Rebecca and she killed herself but IDGAF." The letters IDGAF mean "I don't give a f**k." The older of the two arrested girls, Guadalupe Saw, was taken into custody out of the fear she was cyberbullying other girls. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd held a press conference saying the police are looking to charge the two girls with whatever they can.

Police are looking into the possibility of also charging the girl's parents. Sheriff Judd blasted the two girls and their parents for bullying Sedwick to death. Judd blamed the girls' parents for not monitoring their children or taking their phones and social media devices away when the investigation first began. According to reports, Shaw began to bully Sedwick after the 14-year-old began to date a boy Rebecca once dated. According to Judd, Shaw "didn't like that and began to harass and ultimately torment Rebecca."

Rebecca Sedwick's mother held a conference of her own saying she was glad justice was being served. Sedwick's mother also lamented the fact that this Saturday would have been her daughter's thirteenth birthday. "She should be here to see justice getting served," Sedwick's mother said choking up. According to WESH 2 News, the Sheriff is not counting on these two girls spending any time in jail, since they are first time offenders and so young.

Katelyn Roman is the younger of the two arrested girls. Police are also looking into another 15 suspects in connection with Sedwick's suicide.
