Lucero Hosts 'Yo Soy El Artista' On Telemundo
Lucero joins Telemundo as the host of its new talent show that is in search for the next Latin superstar. Telemundo

Lucero is ready to make her triumphant debut on the Telemundo network this weekend as host of "Yo Soy El Artist." The singer and actress will lead the competition that will find the next true artist in an original and unique format that has never been seen before. The show will face fierce competition with Univision's "Va Por Ti" that premiered last week to impressive numbers. That show is similar in format to "The Voice" where the celebrity judges create their team and pit them up with the other contestants to find out who the winner is. With "Yo Soy El Artista" there will be many different filters to get through and different phases that makes us all excited to watch and these are the reasons why:

1. International Celebrity Host: The main reason to watch "Yo Soy El Artista" is to see Lucero hosting. She was made in Televisa and we only know her for being in Televisa. It would be nice to see a change of pace for her and see her out of her comfort zone and element. Lucero has hosted many award shows on Univision and the Teleton in México, presenting is just as easy for her as acting and singing. With many years of experience in the entertainment business having her lead the project is a plus that no other Miami-produced program ever had. Her charisma and humor are well liked by the public and we are sure this will not be the exception.

2. Multi-Award Winning Judges: "Yo Soy El Artista" has a panel of celebrity judges that any show will envy. "La Mujer de Fuego" Olga Tañon will lend her expertise to coach the singing hopefuls into becoming stars. Luis Fonsi will also bring his talent to the table as well as Mario Quintero Lara from Los Tucanas de Tijuana. Rounding up the judges table are "La Chiquibaby" and Boris Izaguirre. 3. Influencers: The original portion of this show is that out of the 4,000 singers that auditioned for the show, only 120 were selected to take part in the first phase of the competition. Those chose will face 100 social media influencers that will have at task to see if they are worthy enough to be seen by the judges.

4. Artist's School: If they pass the first phase, they will graduate to the second phase where they are admitted to the "Escuela De Artistas" where they will further prepare them to become the next great artist. Olga Tañon will lead in the vocals, while Laura Flores will take on acting and Javier Castillo "Poty" will teach them how to dance. These three areas will fortify their presence on stage. 5. Audience Votes For Winner: During the final phase they will perform in front of a live studio audience and tv viewers will ultimately decide who their favorite singer is. 6. Juan Luis Guerra: The veteran singer will be part of the premiere episode where he will sing "Tus Besos" and "Llegaste Tú" with Luis Fonsi, in an unforgettable presentation. "Yo Soy El Artista" premieres Sunday, September 14 at 8pm ET/PT on Telemundo!
