The Basketball Wives franchise has the reputation of being drama-filled yet entertaining and this new season is looking to live up to everyone's expectations. After it was announced that veteran Evelyn Lozada will be rejoining the show, VH1 producers also added new blood to the mix. The newest Latina debuting on the show is connected to Dwayne Wade!
According to Hollywood Life, the woman who mother's Chicago Bulls Star Dwayne Wade's three-year-old son, Aja Metoyer will be joining the cast of Basketball Wives LA.
Metoyer gave birth to her son, Xavier Zechariah in 2013. The Latina hooked up with the 34-year-old basketball star when he was reportedly on a break from dating now-wife "Being Mary Jane's" Gabrielle Union.
The situation was very controversial with many people chiming into how the Union should not have taken him back. Despite all the chatter, Union made the decision to move forward with the star and now the too are living in wedded bliss.
Of course with Metoyer's debut on the popular franchise, many people are expecting the Latina to spill all the details of what went down between her and the basketball star. While the world knows about Wade's son with Metoyer, the Latina has kept a pretty low profile with her doings- at least until now.
Most basketball players place gag orders on former wives, girlfriends and baby mothers to keep them from appearing on the show but this situation will be very interesting to see unfold. Although Wade does his part as a father, his son with Metoyer has not been in the spotlight as much as his other children from a previous relationship.
Wade has yet to respond to the news of Metoyer joining the franchise, but we can't imagine he will be happy.
