American Horror Story
"American Horror Story" is a horror TV series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. FX

Tonight is the premiere of "American Horror Story: Hotel" on FX and we cannot wait to see how the dark anthology series will start. We are particularly interested in seeing how Lady Gaga takes over as the female lead now that Jessica Lange has left the series.

The last couple of promo trailers have not been very telling about "Hotel's" storyline, but in a first look video the cast and crew discuss what's ahead for viewers. The video starts with Kathy Bates voice saying, "this building has a heart as black as the ace of spades, and you're sleeping in it." We then see select scenes of the coming season along with some description of what's to come. Check out the video below along with a few other promo trailers.

The synopsis for the premiere episode, "Checking In," reads: "Detective and family man John Lowe (Wes Bentley) investigates a chain of gruesome murders in Los Angeles. A mysterious tip points him to the enigmatic Hotel Cortez."

"American Horror Story: Hotel" features an all-star cast including newcomers Lady Gaga, Matt Bomber, Cheyenne Jackson and Wes Bentley. We will also see the return of "AHS" veterans Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O'Hare, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" will premiere Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 10:00 p.m. EDT on FX and will be available the next day on FX.com, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and more. FX does offer a live stream service via its website so viewers have an option to watch online, however you must be a subscriber to the network through your cable provider. If all else fails you can watch the premiere live here, here and here.
