Tonight on “American Idol” the top 6 sang for your votes. The theme for the night was “A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.” Each contestant sang two songs. First up with her first performance was Jena Irene. She sang “Barracuda.” Keith said it was a great way to start the show and that she set the bar high. JLo said that she had a great chance to make it to the finale. Next up was Sam Woolf. He sang “It’s Time.” JLo said she got goose bumps. Harry said it was a great song for him. Up next,

CJ Harris sang “American Woman.” Harry thought it was a good performance and that it was a good song choice. He didn’t think he sang in tune. Up next, Alex Preston sang “Animal.” He received mixed feedback from the judges. Up next Caleb Johnson sang “Sting Me.” JLo said that it was some real rock and roll. He received great feedback from the judges. Jessica came up next and sang “Somebody to Love.” She received mixed feedback from the judges.

Round 2 began with Sam Woolf. He sang “You’re Still the One.” Keith told him to relax more. Up next, Caleb Johnson sang “Undo It.” He received mixed feedback from the judges. They said it was hard to compare that performance with his first performance which was epic. Next up Alex Preston sang “Always On My Mind.” Harry said he did a terrific job and felt lucky to hear that performance. Next up Jena Irene sang “So Small.” Keith told her she was “such a good singer.” CJ Harris then sang “Whatever It Is.” He received negative feedback. Up next Jessica sang “Jolene.” She received mixed feedback from the judges.
