Netflix announced it has added Miami film, “Magic City Memoirs” to its line up of November new releases. Based on true stories from the filmmaker's adolescence in Miami, it is a coming of age drama about three lifelong friends, months away from high school graduation as they indulge in reckless behavior that finds them on the brink of either their graduation or their mortality. Their hopes hang in the balance - one with academics, one with sports, and one with drugs. The movie won The Pursuit of Perfection Award at the 2011 Miami International Film Festival and was part of the Official Selection at the 2011 New York International Latino Film Festival. It also won Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Actor at the 2011 Ibiza Film Festival.

“Magic City Memoirs” was executive produced by Academy Award nominee Andy García. Written, directed and produced by Aaron J. Salgado, the film's cast includes Natalie Martinez (“Broken City,” “Death Race”), JR Villarreal (“Akeelah & The Bee”), Julio Oscar Mechoso (“Little Miss Sunshine,” “The Legend of Zorro”), Dominik Garcia-Lorido (“City Island, Starz' “Magic City”) and Nestor Serrano (“Act of Valor,” “The Day After Tomorrow”), as well as Michael Francis Cardelle (“Days of Our Lives), Andres Dominguez (“Eenie Meenie Miney Moe”), Ana Villafañe (“On Your Feet!,” “Max Steel”), Adam Senn (“Hit The Floor,” “Video Girl”), and Jordi Vilasuso (Hulu's “South Beach”).

Later this month, the film will also be available for purchase or rent on the Itunes store.
