Univision's primetime telenovela "Antes Muerta Que Lichita" is coming to an end on Monday, March 7 and we are going to miss it dearly. The Maite Perroni and Arath De La Torre starring comedy has been one of our favorites as it promotes good values and it wasn't the typical love story. If you can't wait for the whole weekend to find out what happens on the finale, we have spoilers up ahead with details on the last episodes. You have been warned... Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! Augusto (Eduardo Santamarina) sets Roberto (De La Torre) up and makes him take the blame for all the accounting woes found at the API. While Roberto is in jail, he calls Gumaro (Pablo Valentín) to tell him to carry out the plan to take Mateo out of Augusto's home, the little one already knows what to do and will fake being sick and taken to the hospital.
Augusto visits Roberto in jail and says he can help him escape jail. Luciana (Ingrid Martz) confronts Augusto and asks him if he was the one that killed her father, to which he confesses he did. Mateo fakes being ill and taken to the hospital, he goes to the restroom where he believes Gumaro will be waiting for him. At the time Gumaro receives a call from Luciana's mother that alerts him she was rushed to the hospital and their baby is in danger. Mateo panics and runs out of the hospital and runs through the streets aimlessly, thankfully Lichita (Perroni) finds him and takes him to her family home where he should be safe. Luciana's baby is out of danger and Lichita finds out that Gumaro is the father.
Lichita goes to Augusto's home to find proof of Roberto's innocence. Augusto's plan is to have Roberto meet with the mafioso guys to pay up a debt. What Roberto doesn't know is that the briefcase is full of fake money and these guys will kill him. Once at the clandestine place, police arrive and it was actually a master plan that Roberto had agreed with the detective to carry out. Roberto is safe and the bad guys are dead. Augusto finds Lichita snooping through his things and the masks are completely off. Augusto feels betrayed by Lichita as he was always honest with her and she was only looking for justice. Augusto takes Lichita hostage, but she is able to run away and ends up at Icónika. As she left the car, she left her phone which Augusto uses to find where Lichita is at.
Augusto arrives at Icónika and threatens everyone with a gun. Roberto arrives and punches Augusto in the face which knocks the gun out of his hands. Augusto reaches for the gun and Roberto fights with him, a shot is heard and Roberto is down. Augusto runs away after he hears the police sirens. At the hospital they inform everyone that Roberto has died. Lichita doesn't have the courage of telling Mateo about his father's death and only tells him he had to go away for a while. Mateo says that his father said he would be waiting for him at the beach and that is the memory he has of him.
Beatriz (Gaby Platas) informs Augusto, who is in the hospital, that she wants to take over Icónika. The morale is down at the ad agency because they all fear that they will lose their jobs after Augusto's money laundering and bad management. Luciana visits the Gutierrez family and asks for forgiveness for the time she destroyed their taxi. She bought them a new car because "como arrepentida" she's "arrepentidisima." Luciana then asks to speak with Lichita alone and apologizes for being so cruel with her. Lichita also apologizes for taking revenge on her. Luciana says that she was envious of Lichita and that's why she did all those horrible things to her. The girls hug it out as the whole family cheers on.
Augusto decides to sell Icónika to Beatriz and is going to fake dementia so he doesn't end up in jail. Lichita suggests that Chuchette (Luz Elena Gonzalez) retake her book to talk about attainable success. Beatriz informs the ad agency that she now owns Icónika and names Lichita as President. She was hesitant at first, but accepts it for the time being as long as Sandra (Chantal Andere) becomes the General Director. Magos (Sherlyn) informs her family she received a new position, but this new job is in Guadalajara, which means she would have to move away. Magos feels this is the time to show that she is growing up and taking responsibility for once in her life. Ximena doesn't take it well as she doesn't want to leave her family behind but after talking to her aunt Alicia, she accepts.
Lichita is named "Woman Of The Year" but feels she doesn't deserve it as she had lied about the campaign she stole from her friend. Mateo is taken away by the DIF. Fatima (Macaria) tells Augusto that her mother practically sold him to his father, ruining the image he had of her and all the hate he had for his father. The team see's that Alicia is really down and they all prepare a surprise for her to cheer her up by wearing the iconic Lichita wigs and celebrate her magazine cover. Lichita tells everyone what she learned from each and everyone one of them and how much she admires them. Lichita also reveals she will not be working at Icónika anymore and suggests Sandra as her replacement.
Roberto reappears again! He's not dead! It was all a plan to capture Augusto. The body that was buried was Draco's, who died after the police car chase. His body was not claimed and took Roberto's place. Braulio has found success directing and won an award for a short he made, he's now working on his first feature film. Things with Brissa are "EPICOOOOO" and they both plan on a real and traditional wedding this time. At Icónika, Chuchette receives a visit from her "papito tun tun" from Icónika USA. Roberto goes to the Gutierrez family looking for Lichita, they don't give him any info as to where she is. Roberto arrives at Icónika and they tell him they don't know about Alicia since she stopped working there.
Roberto visits Gumaro and Luciana and they are really happy to see that he's alive. Roberto meets his nephew. Luciana says that she is learning everything about advertising and is starting from the bottom as a copy-editor. Luciana reveals that they don't know anything about Lichita, only thing they know is that she left to travel "como lejos, lejísimos" to find herself. Roberto asks about Mateo and Gumaro tells him that they weren't able to adopt him, but the detective said he was safe. Roberto is furious at the detective for not telling him about Mateo's whereabouts. The detective asks Roberto to help him on one last case, if he does, he will tell him all about Mateo.
Roberto travels to find the detective's contact where he reunites with Lichita. They both hug, but Alicia has something to say. "I am with somebody else," she says. "I love him with all of my soul." Roberto is dissappointed and from a distance we hear... "PAPAAAAAA." It's Mateo! Lichita and Mateo were together all this time!
Lichita told Roberto that she wanted to surprise him that is why nobody told him anything about her and Mateo's whereabouts. Lichita found out that Roberto wasn't dead when the DIF took Mateo. Now Lichita works on social impactful campaigns and running her blog.
Augusto escapes jail "El Chapo" style.
At the end Lichita or Alicia breaks the fourth wall and has an inspiring message. "This story has ended, but life continues," she says. "To all the Lichita's that are seeing me, I'll tell you not to allow mistreatment or being disrespected. Let's respect, so we can be respected. Let's always be open to something new, to the challenges, to new opportunities, to second chances, but with love, with that love from the inside, the love from yourself..." Roberto and Mateo interrupt her and whisk her away.... FIN.
Reading the spoilers is fun, but you'll enjoy watching it all unfold when the "Antes Muerta Que Lichita" finale airs Monday, March 7 at 8pm/7c on Univision!
