It is November and to many it means Thanksgiving, a time to forget all of your troubles and just enjoy a great meal with your family. Others look to the day after Thanksgiving for the excitement and exhilaration of waking up in the wee hours of the morning to head off to the stores and begin their Christmas, Hanukah and other holiday shopping. Known as Black Friday, the day following Thanksgiving sends shoppers into a mad frenzy in an attempt to find the best deals.
All of the major retail and department stores like, Target, JC Penny, GameStop, and Best Buy (just to name a few) will be having blow-out sales. Best Buy has recently released a partial list of Black Friday sales which include low prices on items such as HD TV's, tablets like the Kindle Fire, laptops and other computers. Also marked down will be house hold items such as a number of Dyson vacuum cleaners for 25 percent off their original price. Other door buster deals include $100 off the Amazon Kindle Fire.
Originally priced at $199, the tablet will be available for $99 on Black Friday. Consumers can pick up an LG 55-inch 1080p 120 Hz HD TV for $499, a savings of $501 with the original price of the TV being $1,000. An Insignia 30-inch 1080p LCD TV is available for $169 regularly priced at $249. Full details on what other products will be on sale Black Friday should be released within the next few days. Best Buy will start off Thanksgiving week with special events for "My Best Buy" members.
The company's most loyal customers will receive early access to the best Black Friday sales and deals. There will also be special deals on the Best Buy website leading up to Black Friday and continuing through Cyber Monday. Best Buy will open the doors of over 1,000 stores across 47 states at 6pm on the evening of Thanksgiving to give eager consumers a jump on their holiday shopping. Best Buys stores will remain open from 6pm Nov 28 (Thanksgiving) until 10pm on Friday Nov. 29.
