Jenni Rivera was a living legend, and now even in death her music will reach a new generation. Rivera died in a plane crash near Iturbide, Nuevo León, Mexico in 2012 however; the Universal Music record label just released a new single from the Mexican-American artist on Monday. The song, “Dos botellas de mezcal” is the first single off an all-new album of songs; the late Rivera preformed the single in concert in the northern Mexican city of Monterrey. The concert that the live album will feature was her last concert, which Rivera preformed in mere hours before the tragic plane crash. The concert was massively attended by Rivera’s loving and ever gorwing fan base.

The album "1969-Siempre (Parte 1) en Vivo desde Monterrey" features the new single along with multiple other musical numbers preformed that fateful night by Rivera in the Monterrey Arena. The Universal Music record label released a press release on Monday, describing Rivera’s remarkable single. “Dos botellas de mezcal” is a song in "norteño" rhythm, very much in the style of the "Diva de la Banda." While fans can listen to the new single now, they have a bit of a wait until they can get their hands on Rivera’s new album. "1969-Siempre (Parte 1) en Vivo desde Monterrey" goes on sale December 3, includes a disc with 18 songs, several of which are potpourris, and a DVD with five music videos including "Mariposa de Barrio."

Jenni Rivera’s new single comes in the wake of another exciting launch. On Saturday, the Jenni Rivera Boutique was opened in Panorama City, California. The boutique is located in the 8500 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, with hundreds of fans lining up in from of the store in anticipation of it’s grand opening. The store was a dream of the late singer and she had begun working on it before her tragic death. The Jenni Rivera Boutique now gives fans the opportunity to honor the great singer, while also remembering her through clothes with the singer's initials, J-R, an exclusive line of Jenni jeans, and Jenni Rivera perfume.
