While you were busying yourself with stuffing recipes and finding the perfect turkey, Latin Times has been creating a tired and true collection of the best TV and movie specials for Thanksgiving 2013. So obviously we have been using our time more productively.

Regardless, while recipes may be pressing, and your family is probably dying to know what the menu will consist of, be sure to make time to settle down on your couch and take a few minutes or hours to prepare for the Turkey day holiday by watching the best TV specials!And while the Thanksgiving-themed episodes of your favorite shows are sure to get you into the holiday mood, there is also plenty of TV to watch on actually Turkey Day!

So forget about your family and glue yourself to the remote, because we have a lot of channel surfing to do. Just kidding, well not totally, but after you've spent time with your family, given thanks for all the love in your life, and entered into your post turkey eating coma, flip on the television because there are a ton of classic flicks to end your Thanksgiving right!

  • "The Big Bang Theory" (8 p.m. on CBS)
  • The gang heads to Mrs. Wolowitz's house for Thanksgiving in "The Thanksgiving Decoupling" ... and Sheldon is not happy. Meanwhile, "Penny and Leonard must deal with a mistake from her past."
  • "Grey's Anatomy" (9 p.m. on ABC)
  • In "Somebody That I Used to Know" Meredith plans a Thanksgiving dinner at her house.

  • Mariah Carey lends her voice to "American Dad" in their Thanksgiving-themed episode, "Kung Pao Turkey." The episode finds Stan's plans for a quiet holiday "watching football in his underwear" turned upside down when Francine's adoptive parents join the family for Thanksgiving.

  • The first day of Hanukkah falls on Thanksgiving this year, and Zoe is celebrating in "Miracles." "The Voice" winner Danielle Bradbury performs.

  • Contestants celebrate Thanksgiving week with a special challenge that involves loading boxes of Thanksgiving food to help the Moore, Okla., tornado victims. The winning team gets to share the holiday with their loved ones at the ranch.

  • Watch Kevin Frazier and Thea Andrews as they anchor the 86th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live from New York City. The parade will feature performances by Lady Antebellum and the Broadway casts of "Cinderella," "First Date" and "A Night With Janis Joplin."
  • "The National Dog Show Presented By Purina" (12 Noon on NBC)
  • A Thanksgiving tradition -- Watch as over 3,000 dogs battle it out to be crowned "best in show."
