One of the most popular games on a yearly basis, EA Sports' 'FIFA' video game series remains among the highest selling on the market. Thanks to the inclusion of some of the top players in the sport including Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona star Lionel Messi, Manchester United scorer Robin van Persie and many others, 'FIFA' has the unique ability to bring the best in the world to every person who plays the game. The 2014 edition of the soccer game was released in September and from the moment the first games were put on shelves across the world, EA Sports and the FIFA franchise proved once again that they are among the giants in the industry.

With millions of games being played on systems for PlayStation and Xbox, EA Sports learned some interesting facts regarding the new 'FIFA 14.' According to a recent graph concerning how the world plays FIFA, nearly 1 million goals are scored every 90 minutes while there are well over 400,000 games played in that time period. Since its North American release on September 24, 2013, 'FIFA 14' has experienced 35 million goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and a combined 66.3 million tallies from Karim Benzema, Mario Mandžukić and Leo Messi. German star Robert Lewandowski is also among the top goal scorers in the game, with the Borussia Dortmund striker registering over 17 million goals across the globe in 'FIFA 14.'

As far as club match-ups are concerned, showdowns between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich lead the way with well over 9,600,000 contests while Real Madrid v. Barcelona, Barcelona v. Bayern and PSG v. Borussia Dortmund are highly contested meetings. To no surprise, Real Madrid has the most fans on 'FIFA 14' with 717,000. Barcelona (643k), Manchester United (631k), Arsenal (598k) and Bayern Munich (381k) round out the Top 5 most supported clubs. Another interesting fact discovered by EA Sports concerns offensive and defensive statistics. With millions of games having already been played, the sports gaming superpower learned that of the 3.6 million shots taking place in a 90-minute span, 1.9 million of those shots have been stopped by the games goal-keepers.
