Minka Kelly is known for her brunette locks but the 32-year-old beauty has dyed her hair blond for summer. Minka, who is most famous for her role as Lyla Garrity on "Friday Night Lights," seems to have been inspired by her past role as a Texas high school cheerleader; her new blond locks give her a youthful and fun look for summer.
The dye job was also accompanied by a refreshing haircut; the actress replaced her long locks for a layered, shoulder-length style. Minka's hair transformation occurred last week at the Meche Salon in Los Angeles, and the stylists responsible for the new look is Redken "creative consultant for color" Tracey Cunningham. Cunningham even posted a photo of a before and after shot of Minka's hair.
Minka is happy with her new look, she shared to love and thanks to Tracy Cunningham via Instagram, writing "Thank you for the fun summer goldierocks @traceycunningham1 I love it!! You're the best in the bizz! ❤"
Minka Kelly isn't the only actress to recently have died her brunette locks blonde; "Modern Family" star Sofía Vergara also dyes her hair blond for summer.
