Director Gus van Sant, known for Good Will Hunting and Milk, has reportedly filmed a scene from the best-selling erotic novel Fifty Shades of Gray with Magic Mike star Alex Pettyfer.
After the news broke, Twitter went crazy when Matt Bomer's fans demanded that he played the part instead of Pettyfer. Even a picture of Simon Cowell with the caption "It's a no from me" surfaced the web, generating laughs and hundreds of retweets from Bomer's fans.
But don't worry! Nothing is confirmed yet! The sex scene (yes, because of all the scenes, they had to choose the one where Anastasia Steele loses her virginity to Christian Grey), was rumored to be just an audition for both the director and the actor since they didn't have the approval from Focus Features and Universal Pictures to shoot anything, and they hold the rights to the EL James' novel.
According to Twitter users, Matt Bomer is the favorite to play the part, but Alex Pettyfer has an audition to his advantage, and he already proved he is as sexy as it gets.
