Karl Stefanovic Pie

Australia's "Today" Show host Karl Stefanovic was pranked in a recent episode by eating a meat pie that is being called "the world's hottest pie".

Stefanovic is seen in the video talking about eating the world's hottest curry and hottest chili, and is a sport when accepting the challenge. He and his co-host Ben Fordham sign waivers before consuming the pie from Ron Bruns' Bremen Patisserie and do pretty well in the start.

Stefanovic slowly becomes increasingly uncomfortable with his face twitching and breaking into a sweat. Fordham maintains a stoic expression throughout the entire process, only to reveal at the end that he had a regular pie. Suffice to say, Stefanovic's facial expressions made the Karl Stefanovic pie video an instant internet sensation.

According to the Herald Sun, Stefanovic vomitted wildly in the studio's bathrooms after the Karl Stefanovic pie stint.

"He was going to go to the gym but he's gone home," said a source.

And rightfully so! The mince pie reportedly makes customers cough simply when it is being made, according to Ron Bruns.

"We can't think of anywhere else in the world that would beat our pie," said Bruns to The Express Advocate Wyong edition. "Often when we tell people we have the hottest pie in the world they don't believe us which can cause problems, especially for those who try it. It would be great to officially be able to say it is."

Stefanovic was not shy about his state after taking part in the pie challenge.

"I am seriously in a lot of trouble," said Stefanovic to Sydney Confidential. "This is not cool. It's cramping my style.

"I've got housework to do and eating a meat pie is not going to cut it with my missus as an excuse," added Stefanovic.

Fordham took to Twitter to share the Karl Stefanovic pie challenge news:
