A 911 Bigfoot call has gotten enthusiasts all worked up. Claims have been made and "confirmed" that a hunter in Pennsylvania shot and killed a Bigfoot. Proving once and for all that the ape-like creature does in fact exist.
This, however, is a false claim. A PA man, not a hunter, called 911 claiming to have proof Bigfoot is real, Yahoo News reports. In reality the man led police through the woods looking at tracks he believed belonged to a Bigfoot.

News.discovery.com has a partial transcript of the 911 Bigfoot call:
Person 1: "[An individual] called 911advising that he contacted the Game Commission to call him back; wants a police officer to come to his residence. Apparently he has proof there of Bigfoot."
Officer: "Bigfoot, right?"
Person 1: "That's affirmative, he has uh...evidence proving Bigfoot."
The officer went to the man's house and the proof he was talking about turned out to be animal tracks. The officer determined that the tracks were made by a bear and not a Bigfoot.
According to Fox News, Sharon Hill of the Doubtful News Blog says this is a typical evidence of Bigfoot story. Hill says that so called experts in the Bigfoot field tend to throw together bits and pieces claiming it as proof without verifying the sources.
"The current Bigfoot scene is awash with hype, rumors, backstabbing, hoaxing and rampant unprofessional behavior," Hill said to Fox.
