With no mention of a next generation iPad 5 or iPad Mini 2 at WWDC Apple fans have to resort on rumors and here say. If you haven't been keeping up with the rumors then you're in luck. This report will round up all the rumors of features, release dates and prices for the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.

iPad 5 and iPad mini release dates

It's safe to assume that Apple will be launching both products sometime in the fall. Especially since it's their trend. Apple released the iPad 4 back in November 2012 after unveiling the device in October. The iPad mini is also expected to coincide with iPad release date. Blogs and other tech websites are aiming an October launch with a late August or September reveal.

iPad 5 specs

Specs for both the iPad mini and iPad 5 are pretty slim but again following Apple's trend with revealing new products the iPad mini is reported as being up to a third lighter and thinner than the iPad 4. Other reports and rumors say the iPad 5 will get new features which could include: Haptic feedback which is something Android tablets have had for a long time, an upgraded rear camera, a faster processor; every iPad bar the mini has had a faster processor, which is usually claimed to be twice as quick and new color options: possible slate, gold and grey.

The most discussed update for the iPad mini is the display and it would be in Apple's best interest to add Retina display to the new iPad mini 2. "We should see the start of mass production of the panels in June or July," Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch told CNET.

If Apple is to follow the trend they have started then the price should match the price of the current generation iPads.

The current iPad 4 is $499 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi only model and up to $929 for a 128 GB cellular and Wi-Fi model.
