Denzel Washington is denying rumors that is marriage is in jeopardy. Reports have claimed Washington and his wife of 30 years, Pauletta Pearson, were on the brink of divorce amid rumors of Washington's infidelity. Star magazine continued its report, the magazine cited an anonymous source who claimed that Pearson had "moved to New York to contemplate" a possible end to her marriage.
The divorce rumors started when the "Training Day" actor reportedly cheated on Pearson. According to Entertainment Wise, photos of Washington kissing a "mystery woman" have been "doing the rounds at various media outlets." Despite, the rumors regarding Washington's marriage the couple is "not divorcing, not separating."
In a recent interview with Ebony magazine, Washington and Pearson opened up about their marriage, with the actor admitting that they "go through up and downs like any couple."
Despite the couple's strength during this tumultuous time, this is not the first time Washington has been accused of cheating. After starring in the film "Out of Time" with Sanna Latham, reports claimed that Washington was engaged in an affair with his co-star. Fortunately, the actress quickly squashed these explicit rumors.
"[The rumor] got started because the movie had a love scene with Denzel, and people took that and translated it to real life," Latham told Vibe magazine in 2006, as quoted by The Associated Press.
"They said I was pregnant with Denzel's child, and people were calling my mother, saying I'm having his baby. It's frustrating. People are going to talk no matter what."
