“The Walking Dead” has released its trailer for season 4 at Comic-Con and is getting fans even more excited about the premiere episode. The trailer fits so many spoilers and new plot events into the video, that there is just so much to discuss. When we first see the group in season 4 it seems that life has returned to as normal as possible, the prison has turned into a town for the residents of Woodbury. The prison has been fortified and it seems like there is some sort of council or governing body now, instead of just Rick as the sole leader. A school is also being created to teach the younger generation in the prison to use knives, how to survive and how to escape.

Another excited part of the video trailer, which has a phenomenal soundtrack too, is that the walkers are certainly organized and they seem even more aware. The mysterious part of the organized walkers is that either someone is organizing them or they are learning how to organize themselves. A massive number of the walkers are shown attacking the weak points of the prison and like they breach the structure and attack a cell block. The trailer leaves questions unanswered although it does reveal that someone has been feeding them and someone on the inside allows the walkers into the cell block leaving 12 dead. Not everyone in the prison has always been aligned with Rick and his group, The Governor is still lurking and it seems he may be responsible for some of the mayhem.

The residents of the prison will certainly find themselves in trouble with the advancing and amassing walkers in episode 1, but apparently the walkers aren’t their only problem. Herschal who appears to have gotten a prosthetic leg reveals that some people are saying they might be better outside the walls of the prison than inside, the risk of their once safe compound is growing and the threats are getting more serious.

David Morissey, who plays The Governor offered a large spoiler about season 4. He indulges us in our assumptions that aside from the walkers, there is a large impeding threat. The world is changing and getting more dangerous, and important decisions will need to be made in order to survive. "There's a whole new threat in this season that we have to deal with which you get to know about. This new threat is the thing that overall is the thing for us. The zombies are the same threat that they've always been, but with this added extra that makes the world a very, very dangerous place. And people start to sort of react in different ways ... It's not a threat you're going to be able to kill very easily. So it's something that happens within the world. Another thing. And that is very dangerous. It's very dangerous and I think when you see it, you'll ... there's a lot of identity with it, for us in our world. You'll get it when you see it. Each person reacts to it very differently."

So what could this new threat be? Another more powerful faction of surviving humans? Could that be the reason why Daryl is wearing a bandana around his face and working with an AK-47? Is a world war brewing? In the beginning of the trailer the group is engaged in a raid where they are working in military style formations and yielding assault weapons. The group was also seen raiding an abandoned army camp to get military hardware. So our best guess is that the new threat is another group of humans, but they don’t want to live happily-ever-zombies in the prison. Maybe that’s why they are scouring maps for a new location?

Robert Kirtman, “The Walking Dead” executive producer offered some insight into the plot twist, "We're making everything look different and new and unique for this season. I think there's going to be some really cool new elements thrown in that will shock you."

OH wow, just wow. Season 4 of “The Walking Dead” may just be the best one yet! So for episode 1 we can expect the group to be threatened by walkers and then as season 4 progresses will they be forced from the prison and if so, where will they find sanctuary? "The Walking Dead" season 4 episode 1 premieres Sunday, October 13th 9:00 ET on AMC.
