Shakira has sued former boyfriend Antonio de la Rua for allegedly accruing $6,686,298 in deposits, transfers and credit card charges without her consent. The suit, which was filed in October 2012, claims that Carpe Diem, Light Productions and Shakira -- the three plantiffs of the case -- are each owed money, plus interest, from de la Rua. The case is expected to be resolved soon as it was filed so long ago.

Shakira is asking for $3 million in what is referred to as "damages" the suit, as well as $500 million for her Bonds Cay project and $200 million for a boat her ex purchased and never paid her back, Univision reported. The Argentinian also allegedly put $363.91 on a credit card belonging to his Colombian-singer girlfriend while he took another woman on a vacation. The case was filed in the Bahamas, and de la Rua is now considering appeal.

"Now I have to decide whether to appeal in Los Angeles or accept that Shakira proposed it be in the Bahamas or Colombia," he said. "This process is very long and we are in the first stage: the choice of jurisdiction. The Los Angeles judge has not said who is or is not entitled to the assets of Shakira, but prefers the case to take place at another jurisdiction where they can hear cases from two people who are not residents of the city."
