Demi Lovato is the newest A-lister to join FOX's acclaimed TV show Glee. The singer, who is also an "X-Factor" judge, will join the hall of fame of celebrity guest stars that include Britney Spears, Eve, Idina Menzel, Neil Patrick Harris, NeNe Leakes, Olivia Newton-John, and many more. More info about her character was revealed on Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards, when Glee veteran Naya Rivera, surprised fans by saying that Lovato will play her character Santana's love interest.

"I mean, she's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that," the 26-year-old actress told MTV. "We get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes on in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song." But which one of the Beatles songs will the two hot Latinas take on and make extremely sexy with their intense and captivating personalities and talented voices? Well, reportedly, Santana and Lovato's character, Dani, will be singing "Here Comes the Sun."

Although Rivera spilled the beans, Lovato's reps haven't confirmed or denied the exclusive. "At this point all we can confirm is that Demi Lovato plays Dani a, NYC-based struggling artist friend of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana's. Viewers will have to watch her character's storyline develop when episodes air," Lovato's rep told E! News. Along with Demi, Adam Lambert will also be joining the show as well and it has been reported that the two will have several musical numbers together. "I just heard the news! Excited to sing w you girl!" tweeted Lambert.

Glee has gone through a major shake-up after one of its main actors, Cory Monteith, died in July as a result of an unfortunate mix of drugs and alcohol, leaving the show without one of their leads, Finn Hudson, a jock turned glee club member, turned teacher after graduating and taking on a quest to find himself who led him back to his old high-school. Ryan Murphy and the show's writers had to step up amidst their mourning process and rewrite the beginning of season 5, deciding to include the tragic passing of Monteith into the plot after the first two episodes that were already set as a tribute to The Beatles.

Once the Beatles episodes wrap up, Gleeks will get to say goodbye to Monteith during the third episode of the season, airing October 10. Naya Rivera said at the red carpet of the VMA's, "We've been shooting it. It's horrible. So many, so many [memories]. He was an amazing guy and I definitely miss him."

The season 5 premiere of "Glee" will be airing on Thursday, September 26 at 9/8c.
