“The Vampire Diaries” Season 5 is sure to thrill because it is basically about blood, sex and death. You know, just regular vampire stuff. The full synopsis of the season premiere leaked online and everything is getting steamier, and it’s not just because of the warm summer sun. Episode 1, I Know What You Did Last Summer” picks up with the Mystic Falls crew after a long hot summer, and luckily for fans, the debut episode will give them a look back at all that has been happening over the past three months.
And while we catch up with Elena, Damon, Stefan, Caroline and all their supernatural buds, more events are sure to come. Damon and Elena have been in the honeymoon period this summer, filled with lots of sex and love. They are in a good place as a couple, but Elena is moving away from Mystic Falls and into a new dorm at Whitmore College, and Katherine is moving in. Yup! That’s right, Katherine is moving into the Salvatore home and now that she is a human, she is really in need of Damon, or so she says.
According to TVFanatic, Katherine also gets “her drink on” but we are afraid that Elena force-feeding her the vampire cure was all for nothing. Katherine of all “people” hates being vulnerable to her enemies so we are thinking that while Elena is off at college drinking alcohol, Katherine is back to her vampire self and drinking blood. Katherine isn’t the only problem tenant at the Salvatore home, Jeremy has moved in after the fire and he is getting in trouble at school. But what else is new? Speaking of school, Elena and Caroline receive a serious surprise on their first day at Whitmore. They thought that Bonnie was travelling all summer, so when they show up for move in and have a new roommate they are obviously surprised. Will Bonnie some how be resurrected? I certainly hope so!
As for some real excitement for Season 5, one character engages in a threesome. And while we initially thought this was going to be a college escapade by sweet Caroline, we are starting to reconsider. With all the doppelgängers emerging and Elena’s attraction to both Salvatore brothers, and Damon’s attraction to both Katherine and Elena, pretty much anything can happen! And for some less juicy news, death is coming to Mystic Falls. During Season 5 there is a serious car crash, and two deaths, however we don't know yet if they are related. One of the characters killed this season played a big role in Season 4. Hmm?
Season 5 of “The Vampire Diaries” premieres on the CW on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. with episode 1, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
