The Legend of Korra
How has the second season been thus far? Nickelodeon/The Legend of Korr

"The Legend of Korra" season two "Book Two: Spirits" has begun and the ride thus far has been crazy! If you haven't been keeping up for whatever reason we will give you all the details for everything you have missed here. So far there have been four new episodes which have included a deranged love affair, spirits, rebels and war! In the hour-long premiere which featured episodes, "Rebel Spirit" and "The Southern Lights," things in Republic City look a lot different for the new team Avatar post Amon.

"Rebel Spirit" is a perfect title for the premiere episode to "The Legend of Korra," because if you know anything of the character Korra is definitely a rebel at heart and stubborn to the core. In the episode Korra has mastered airbending and is still training with Tenzin while Mako is now a detective for Republic City police. Bolin is with a new team for the "Fire Ferrets" and they are performing poorly, while Asami tries to keep her family's business, Future Industries, afloat after her father's mistake. The team travels to the Southern Water Tribe where they are attacked by vengeful spirits and Korra and team are left feeling powerless against the new foes. After an amazing display of power from Korra's uncle and tribal chief, Unalaq, Korra decides to dismiss Tenzin as her teacher and chooses him instead to learn how to access her spiritual side.

In the second episode "The Southern Lights," Korra learns the Southern Water Tribe is spiritually unbalanced and is told open the spirit portal to release the Southern Lights. Korra also learns her father was banished from the Northern Water Tribe and was the cause of the spirit rampage and war. Furthermore she learns Tenzin was responsible for her seclusion in her youth and orders him to leave her side. Returning to the South Pole Korra and team learn that all is not what it seems when they see the Northern Water Troops are approaching the South. This brings us to the next two episodes which is a two-parter, "Civil Wars, Part 1" and "Civil Wars, Part 2."

In the first half a revolt is forming due to the Northern Water Tribes troops being in the city. Korra's father and local businessman Varrick seem to be behind the rebels. Korra unsuccessfully tries to keep the peace and prevents an abduction of Unalaq by the southern rebels. She then confronts her father and learns he had no involvement in the rebels abduction but before she can reconcile with her parents her uncle, Unalaq, breaks up the moment and arrest her mother and father. Meanwhile at the Southern Air Temple Aangn's kids Bumi, Kya and Tenzin are reminiscing and fighting about the past.

In the second half for "Civil Wars, Part 2," after Korra's father is sentenced to life in prison for treason, she learns Unalaq stage-managed the trial and not only that but was responsible for getting her father banished from the Northern Water Tribe in the past. Korra breaks Tonraq and other condemned rebels out of prison and in turn promises to seek the United Republic's support for the Southern Rebellion. At the Southern Air Temple Tenzin reconciles with his siblings.

The next episode is sure to be complex and the start to something big. A new war between the Southern and Northern Water Tribes are inevitable now and the Avatar has pledged her allegiance to the South.
