Seth MacFarlane continues to grow into one of the most recognizable figures in the entertainment industry. Creating animated sitcom gems such as 'Family Guy,' 'American Dad,' 'The Cleveland Show' and his latest sitcom 'Dads,' the 39-year-old Connecticut native remains a major figure in Hollywood as he regularly provides fans with laughter and entertainment. While MacFarlane is mostly known for his success with 'Family Guy,' the producer is also responsible for Universal's highest grossing film of 2012, a film he's proud to announce will have a sequel.

Releasing 'Ted' in June of 2012, MacFarlane and his loveable pot-smoking, beer drinking and foul mouthed teddy bear captured the hearts and attention of comedy fans across the globe. Earning nearly $550 million that year, 'Ted' quickly became one of the most-watched movies of 2012, prompting film loyalists to lobby for another film to continue to hilarity. As multiple sources happily indicate, 'Ted 2' will in fact become a reality with familiar faces (and voices) returning to reprise their respective roles.

According to Thewrap.com, MacFarlane will release 'Ted 2' through Universal on June 26, 2015. While he continues to piece together the second installment of the 2012 blockbuster that grossed $54 million in its opening weekend, MacFarlane will also launch 'A Million Ways to Die in the West,' a western comedy that will star himself, Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfriend.

Set to direct, write and take up a role in 'Ted 2,' fans of the movie will also be happy to know that the character of John Bennett will return and the role will once again be filled by Mark Wahlberg. Noting that the second installment of 'Ted' will be his first sequel, Wahlberg confirmed the creation of the movie while noting that he has tremendous respect for the work MacFarlane will do to make this film successful as well.

"There is a Ted 2," Wahlberg said recently on Anderson Cooper's show 'Anderson Live.' "We've already locked a deal. They're off writing now and I've never done a sequel before, but I have just so much confidence in Seth. He's such a talented and funny guy."

In addition to the launching of 'Ted 2,' moviegoers everywhere will be pleased to know that additional movies including 'The Avengers,' 'Terminator,' a spinoff to 'Despicable Me' entitled 'Minions' and a sequel to 'Independence Day' will also be released during the Summer of 2015.
