Lilian de la Concha, the ex-wife of Mexico ex-president Vicente Fox, has been implicated in a federal investigation in the United States for alleged money laundering of 500 million dollars, that came from drug trafficking. According to sources, De la Concha was sentimentally involved with Marco Antonio Delgado, accused of money laundering, and in his trial, DA Debra Kanof said in her initial statement that Delgado had gotten together with Lilian in Mexico to plan the illegal activities. "They spoke of approximately 600 million dollars and they agreed that he would get 5% of any amount they could launder," she said.

Delgado's attorney, Ray Velarde said that in the meetings with Fox's ex-wife, his client was sharing his knowledge on legal matters, not discussing money laundering. However, district attorneys think differently. Delgado's investigation began in September 2007 after the seizure of a million dollars in Atlanta. The man with the money, Victor Pimentel, told investigators that he, Delgado and another man had met in Mexico and agreed to transport money belonging to the Cartel del Milenio, a drug trafficking organization based in Colima, associated with the Cartel de Sinaloa.

Pimentel is now a key witness in the trial and in his testimony he presented numerous emails exchanged with Delgado. Many messages were sent by De la Concha and later forwarded by Delgado. The witness explained to Kanof the sayings that De la Concha and Delgado used as a reference to the money laundering operation. In an e-mail written in Spanish, De la Concha tells Delgado: "Darling, in relation to the Girls Scout cookies you want to sell, God willing, maybe you can place five more boxes per school each week. Now, instead of 300 boxes they have 500 in storage and with the donations that are on their way, the number will increase."

The key witness added that each "cookie box" meant a million dollars and "schools" were bank accounts or other locations. He also revealed that "the donations" meant income from drugs. Lilian has claimed in the past that Delgado only used her and when she was asked why she didn't accuse him in the first place, she assured that he did, even facilitating evidence, and added that she didn't have the money for a lawyer.
