‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 5 Episode 5 Halloween Episode: When And Where To Watch ‘Monster’s Ball’ [VIDEO]

"Vampire Diaries" is getting into the Halloween spirit with episode 5 "Monster's Ball," and like the name implies there will be a ball attended by plenty of dangerous and powerful monsters! But which monsters are we talking about? Well, two that are definitely in attendance are Elena and Damon, who are leaving their vampire identities behind and getting historical. The couple attends the Whitmore Historical Ball dressed as Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, although they are not the only two in attendance and the surprise guest of the evening takes the term monster to a whole new level.

At the Ball, Elena unwillingly shares a dance with her former professor, "Dr. Maxfield" and although the college student/vampire is already on his supernatural trail, the creepy Doctor "has a disturbing message for her." Elena and Damon aren't the only two with some relationship drama at the Ball, Caroline also attends while taking and her evening quickly goes from "happiness to heartbreak," has Tyler ended the relationship for good? Or has her new romance with Jesse fizzled before it even really got started? All of this drama at the Ball is trumped by a recent revelation in the Silas problem.

In the promo video for episode 5 "Monster's Ball," Damon reveals that all Silas wants is to be reunited with his one true love in death, however considering his immortal status he needs the cure before he can cross over to the Other Side. Damon thinks up a solution for the immortals problem, provide Katherine's blood for the cure, and then trade his life for the life of Bonnie. This way Bonnie can cross back over into life and Silas can return to his one true love in death. Problem solved, right? Well, not exactly. In order for Silas to trade places with Bonnie, he requires something of Damon. Silas demands that Damon kill his younger brother Stefan, despite the Salvatore brother's tumultuous relationship, Damon is not happy with the request.
