Living in Miami, Barbara Bermudo knows the true meaning of hot. But when it comes to her makeup, she refuses to let the summer heat slow her down. In fact, with the help of Target’s trusted beauty brands, she’s done away with the common pesky problems of dripping, running, melting or smearing.

Bermudo's summer faves have equipped her with everything she needs to keep her looking fresh and flawless from morning until night. "I swear by waterproof mascara! My favorite is the PIXI by Petra Lash Booster Mascara," says Bermudo about her go-to makeup products. "It gives me the perfect voluminous lashes that look like falsies and last all day, rain or shine. For hot summer days, I also recommend using a setting mist, which will prolong your makeup wear and keep it from moving, melting or settling into fine lines or pores. The PIXI by Petra Makeup Fixing Mist is the perfect option and contains rose water and green tea!" she added.

To keep her makeup looking fresh for hours the news anchor suggests primers. "In Miami, it feels like summer all year long! I’ve found that the key to preserving my makeup is a great primer," she says. "My go-to is the Honest Beauty Everything Primer. It helps keep my makeup intact from day to night. When sculpting my face, I tend to use powder-based products such as the PIXI by Petra Strobe & Chisel Palette. I tend to shy away from cream-based products for definition, as they make my face look oily in the heat."

During summer days, Barbara loves to rock a glowing tan skin. "I love a good sun-kissed glow. It’s a toned-down look that is easy to accomplish during the summer as I spend a lot of time with my daughters at the pool or beach, which also gives me a nice glow," says the Target partner. "I always make sure to apply sunscreen. I’ve been loving the new Pacifica Coconut Probiotic SPF 30 Mineral Bronzing Sunscreen, which gives me a bronzed look while I take in some Vitamin D. I tie the look together by enhancing my cheeks with bronzer and apply a quick mist of Fig & Yarrow Complexion Water Orange Blossom Lavender to refresh my face during those hot days."

Finally, Bermudo talks about the touch-up tips she uses for taking her makeup from day to night. "Makeup is like magic, but all magic has its tricks! Touchups are essential. To go from day to night, first touch up your foundation and then refresh your blush and bronzer. A bright blush, like the Honest Beauty Cream Blush, is needed to maintain a fresh look. Layer on shimmery shadows and highly pigmented eyeliner. Double up on mascara and then for the finishing touch, pile on the lipstick."
