DC Comics has declared that July 23 is Batman Day, and we are certainly not complaining! The legendary Caped Crusader will be celebrating its 75th year in 2014 and to honor the amazing journey and evolution of Batman, DC has declared today a holiday. To properly mark the occasion, comic shops, bookstores, and even libraries will observe Batman Day, which is, simply put, a full day devoted to all things Dark Knight related. According to DC Comics, participating comic and book stores will be giving away free copies of Detective Comic #27 Special Edition. If you don’t know you’re Batman history then head on over to your local comic book store and pick up a copy because this is an updated version of the first comic that introduced Batman to the world!
