Actors Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch have been given an increase in their salaries. This has prompted the rest of the cast to request raises as well. CBS

Members of the "Big Bang Theory" cast are seeking raises after costars Mayim Bialik (Amy) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) were both given a pay increase. It has been reported that the two actresses have had their salaries doubled. Their per-episode pay is now said to be $60,000 per episode which is three times more than their previous salaries. Bialik and Rauch have also extended their contracts for another year. The pair is expected to each make almost $100,000 per-episode by the time their contracts are up.

The rest of the "Big Bang Theory" cast received pay raises in 2010, but now stars Jim Parsons (Sheldon), Kaley Cuoco (Penny) and Johnny Galecki (Leonard) are also looking to receive a salary increase. The "Big Bang Theory" is one of CBS' highest rated comedies. The show pulls in large ratings, season six of the "Big Bang Theory" which ended this past spring averaged about 19-million viewers between the ages of 18-49. In 2011 CBS renewed the show for another three seasons. Season seven premieres on Sept. 26 and will be the last season that is a part of that deal.

According to Radar Online the cast of the "Big Bang Theory" has vowed to privately "do a Friends-like deal in a bid to bring back the entire ensemble for an eight season." It is said the three main actors (Galecki, Cuoco and Parsons) will be demanding a per-episode salary increase equal to as much as half a million dollars as well as a percentage of the show's profits from syndication. The three actors currently earn $350,000 and episode. When the popular TV sitcom "Friends" entered its last season all six actors banded together to ensure each was paid one-million dollars and episode.

The "Big Bang" stars are looking to make a similar stand. It is believed there is nothing except a drastic ratings drop that will keep CBS and Warner Bros. from meeting their demands. Radar Online is saying "the stars believe their posturing is simple: CBS and Warner Bros. have to have the show back." The "Big Bang Theory" is one of the most popular comedies on TV at the moment. It has been nominated for six Emmy Awards and a source with Radar Online told the entertainment site "What they've been able to achieve is a feat unheard of for a show in recent history and they all deserve to get compensated for it."
