Looks like BlackBerry was serious when it implied last summer that the company was looking at adding video chatting to its handsets with the new BlackBerry 10. Newly leaked slides suggest the RIM will in fact include the feature on its upcoming smartphones when they're released Jan. 30, along with another new task manager feature.

While we're usually cautious to put too much stock in purported "leaked" information of any kind, as numerous publications have noted, the images appear to be legitimate. Further, as Engadget pointed out, the pictures have been "removed by request" at several sites across the Web, including the two CrackBerry forum posts that first revealed the pictures, lending the "leaks" more of an air of credibility.

The pictures suggest that not only will BBM video chat come with the BB10, but so too will the ability to screen share during those video calls, much in the way that Skype currently allows you to. Another slide details a new task manager for the OS called "BlackBerry Remember," which can sync with Outlook and may include Evernote integration, based on its description and what was uncovered in the gold SDK.

As is usually the case with this sort of news, RIM was evasive regarding the new leaked information.

"We understand that there is a lot of excitement for BlackBerry 10. We will launch the platform on January 30th and until then we won't comment on speculation," said RIM in a statement.

When the BlackBerry 10 is eventually released on Jan. 30 the phone will reportedly be available in two models, the X10 and Z10, according to BGR. The Z10, also known as the L-series, features a touch-screen keyboard, removable back cover, NFC antenna, micro-SIM and microSD slots, and a removable 1,800mAh battery. The model also has USB and micro-HDMI ports on the left-hand side of the smartphone, giving it extra ability to hook up with other devices and accessories.

The X10 model opts for a more traditional design using the old school QWERTY style keyboard. The phone will reportedly be available in both black and white, and rumors indicate the phone will feature a 4.2-inch screen with 1280x768 resolution.

The BlackBerry 10 includes a feature called Balance, which encrypts work data and separates content, and a feature called Flow that's a suite of new gesture controls.

Further information regarding the specs and features of the new BlackBerry 10 handset are still scarce and vague. However, if the release of RIM's new smartphone is anything like the product releases we've already seen this year for devices like the iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy SIII we'd bet heavily on more leaks of information and pictures in the coming weeks.
