Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have come to a custody agreement in regards to their divorce, their son Maddox Jolie-Pitt is not thrilled. After refusing to reunite with his dad, it is being reported that Maddox has given in.
According to Us Weekly, Pitt met up with his 15-year-old son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt this past Wednesday. Despite the custody battle with his estranged wife Jolie, the family is trying to make the split seamless.
The site reports that this is the first time that the 52-year-old actor has seen Maddox. Their last enounter was in spetember when the 15-year-old was seen arguing with Pitt on the the former couple's private jet.
The debacle pushed for Jolie to file for divorce from Pitt. She immediately filed paperwork on September 19, just 5 days after their nasty encounter.
"He chose not to go and stayed with Angie," a source tells the Us. Maddox who is over the age of 14, by California law can decide which parent he chooses to stay with.
Although Pitt reunited with his five other children, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne last week, Maddox had no intentions on seeing the actor again.
It was said that Maddox never really felt a connection to Pitt. "He doesn’t really see himself as Brad’s son,” a source says of the Cambodia native, legally adopted by Pitt in 2006. Another Jolie source is more blunt: “Maddox never wants to see Brad again.”
A source also shared with the site that the kids underwent therapy for an entire month before they could visit their dad. A Pitt insider tells the site, "He wanted to make sure the meeting would be the most productive for the kids."
