Camila Cabello has had a solid start with her solo career after abruptly exiting Fifth Harmony late last year. The girlband recently released their first single after Cabello's exit and let's just say that the latter is not "Crying In The Club" over it. Camila was a guest at a radio show and she was asked about "Down," 5H's new song and if she had any regrets on how her exit was handled. The atmosphere seemed awkward and tense, but Camila took it like a pro and answered the hard hit questions.

"I've heard some snippets of it, I haven't had the chance to hear the whole thing yet, but I thought it was pretty cool. Yeah," Camila said about "Down." She went on to answer if it was weird listening to the girls without her voice in the mix to which she replied: "Not really because I feel like it's just been a natural evolution and I wish the best for them and I'm sure they're going to kill it and I'm super happy making my music. So it doesn't feel weird, it feels natural."

News of Camila Cabello’s departure from the group was announced on December 19 in a statement shared from their official Twitter account. “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representative that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.”

Cabello was quick to react and released her own statement where she said: “The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true. Just like the other girls said in their statement about their plans, I had also planned to continue with my own solo endeavors in the new year, but I did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way. As sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, I will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group. I wish nothing but the best for them.”

Fifth Harmony then fired back in another statement that read: “We have spent the past year and a half (since her initial solo endeavor) trying to communicate to her and her team all of the reasons why we felt Fifth Harmony deserved at least one more album of her time, given the success of this past year that we’d all worked so hard for.

The statement continued saying: "We called for group meetings which she refused, we asked L.A. Reid and the label to step in and try to set meetings, which again, she refused. We even went as far as group counseling which she did not show up to. So no, after months of rejection from her and her team, these supposed lengthy conversations in fact never happened, although we pleased.

"We have tried with exhausted efforts and hearts to keep this group alive as the five of us, and we want it to be very clear that unfortunately those efforts were not mutual."
