While some question Colin Kaepernick's decision to kneel during the playing of the National Anthem before football games as a form of protest, others commend him for his boldness. One player who is ready and willing to team up with Kaep, is New York Knicks star, Carmelo Anthony.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise considering Anthony has been actively trying to use his platform to promote change. After hearing about an innumerable amount of killings of African Americans, by police officers, the part-Puerto Rican ball player took to Instagram to voice his concerns earlier this year.

"First off let me start off by saying " All Praise Due To The Most High." Secondly, I'm all about rallying, protesting, fighting for OUR people. Look I'll even lead the charge, By Any Means Necessary. We have to be smart about what we are doing though. We need to steer our anger in the right direction. The system is Broken. Point blank period. It has been this way forever. Martin Luther King marched. Malcolm X rebelled, Anthony exclaimed on his Instagram post back in July.

According to David Aldridge, Melo and Kap have been exchanging emails to discuss ways to help out communities in dire need.

Back in July, Melo teamed up with LeBron James, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade to speak on the atrocities plaguing this country today.
