There are a number of us that are still upset that Hilary Clinton was not elected to be our next president. While Clinton shares our sentiments about the election, in her first public appearance since conceding to president-elect Donald Trump, she is pushing us to remain hopeful.

According to Complex, Hilary Clinton delievered her first speech since conceding to Donald Trump at the Children's Defense Fund's annual gala Wednesday night. In her speech, she idint shy away from expressing how upset she was that she lost the election but she urged the audience to never give up on their goals.

"I know this isn't easy. I know that over the past week a lot of people have asked themselves whether America is the country we thought it was," she told the gala crowd. "But please listen to me when I say this: America is worth it, our children are worth it."

Clinton also showed her vulnerable side, detailing how much she wanted to just cut herself off from the world.

"I will admit, coming here tonight wasn't the easiest thing for me," she said. "There have been a few times this past week where all I wanted to do was curl up with a good book and our dogs and never leave the house again."

We can imagine how hard it was for Clinton to face the public after conceding. In a sense, she may feel as of she let us down more so, that the country as a whole has a lot of work to do to become one which she acknowledged in her speech. She hopes that the work makes this country "hopeful, inclusive and big-hearted."

There is currently a Change.org petition going around asking for the electoral College to vote for Clinton and dump Trump as many American s are outraged about the election results. Clinton who won the popular vote but failed to snag the votes from the Electoral College has many people fuming with answers.
