UFC Fighter Conor McGregor needed just 13 seconds to dispose of one of the greatest MMA fighters in history on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The new Featherweight champion dodged a right by Jose Aldo and then connected on a left cross that sent Aldo to the mat where McGregor pounced on him with multiple hammer fists before the referee stopped the fight. The whole fight lasted just 13 seconds, one second faster than Ronda Rousey's record of 14 seconds, for the fastest title fight in UFC history.

The Irish fighter known simply as "Notorious," predicted in the pre-fight weigh in that he would end Aldo in the first round and he was a man of his word in the octagon.

McGregor won the featherweight championship belt and also will be on the cover of the new UFC 2 video game by Electronic Arts with Rousey. He is the first person to defeat Aldo in over a decade. McGregor has said for years that he is the greatest fighter in the world, and he proved himself with precision and power in the biggest fight of his career.

McGregor has said that his mental advantage is his edge in the octagon and it was ever-present in the main event on Saturday night. McGregor looked confident, relaxed and focused. He envisioned his victory and was ready for Aldo from the opening bell.

Meanwhile, Aldo seemed timid, deflated, he wouldn't even look McGregor in the eye until the fight started. By the end of the fight, he didn't know what happened or what hit him. After the knockout, Aldo said he wants a rematch.

"This wasn't a fight," he told Joe Rogan through a translator. "We need to have a rematch and give the people a real fight."

Congratulations to Conor McGregor on his victory and we look forward to your reign as champion.
