While Mexico and Venezuela have both secured their passes to the quarter finals, this game is crucial to both teams because they will define who their next opponent will be. This means the winner of the match will face Chile next, and the team that looses will face the most feared opponent: Argentina.

“We do not play thinking of avoiding one or another team,” Venezuela coach Rafael Dudamel said. “We simply recognize the quality of each of our opponents.” A statement which Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio agrees with.

“We all agree that perhaps the most rewarding part of soccer is preparing for a long time, for many years to compete with the best, and it would be an honor for all of us to do so,” Osorio added.

This, however, will be the final game for Uruguay and Jamaica, who will likely try and end their tournament performance on a high note.

It is highly unlikely that Luis Suarez will get a taste of the Copa América at all as his team coach Oscar Tabarez clearly stated that he had been prescribed a certain period of recovery. Needless to say, Suarez has not taken this well, it was very apparent that watching his team lose against Venezuela was sheer torture.

Hopefully the Jamaican team gets to score at least one goal so that they do not go home empty-handed. The Reggae Boyz are the only team in the tournament that have yet to score a goal.

Mexico vs. Venezuela will be played at 8:00 p.m. ET at the NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas.

Uruguay vs. Jamaica will be played at 10:00 p.m. ET at the Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, Calif.
