Real Madrid lost to arch rivals FC Barcelona 2-1 on Sunday to fall four points behind the Catalan squad in the La Liga standings. Luis Suarez scored the game-winning goal for Barca, and Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Real Madrid, however, it was what the Portuguese striker said after the match that had eyebrows raised on Monday.

As Barcelona celebrated in front of their fans on the pitch at Camp Nou, Ronaldo was caught on camera talking to teammate Karim Benzema. “Nos Cagamos todos!” Ronaldo said to Benzema.

If you don’t speak Spanish, it can mean many things, but more than likely he was saying “We’re all f#$%ed!” Another, more rough translation is, “We shit ourselves.”

Despite conjuring images of Ronaldo, Benzema, Gareth Bale and Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez running around the pitch wearing diapers and soiling themselves, Ronaldo’s words are indicative of the team’s spirits after losing to their rivals and falling four big points behind Barcelona in the race for the La Liga title.

Ronaldo and his Real Madrid teammates could not be more disappointed with the results from the match. With an excellent opportunity to move back to the top of the table, Real Madrid allowed Suarez to get into the box untouched where he slotted a great ball past the falling Iker Casillas and into the bottom left corner of the net.

With their chances of a La Liga championship slipping, Real Madrid needs to focus on their difficult UEFA Champions League quarterfinal matchup with Atletico Madrid in the Derby. Real has not beaten Atletico in their previous six matches, with the last victory coming in May of 2014, during last year’s Champions League final.
