Danilo Carrera’s star quality can’t be denied. Ever since we first got to know the charismatic 26-year-old host on Univision’s “El Gordo y La Flaca,” we couldn’t help to think the kid would go places. Especially with those looks! Back in October, Carrera announced he had landed his first big role in Televisa’s “Pasión y Poder” next to Fernando Colunga and Jorge Salinas.

Since then, the Ecuadorian stud has been living in Mexico City where the local media immediately catalogued him as the new telenovela hunk in town. According to El Diario, Carrera confessed to be surprised to be given this opportunity and added that “in the Latin entertainment business, coming to Televisa is every actor’s dream.”

According to several publications, things seem to be getting better and better for Danilo in Aztecs grounds. The Guayaquil born has been recruited to join the list of hosts at this year’s “Las Mañanitas a la Virgen de Guadalupe” live from Mexico City on December 11, and “El Teletón 2015” live from Michoacán on December 12.

“I am closing the year very happy because of this opportunity that Televisa and José Alberto Castro gave me to be in my first telenovela in México. I have been welcomed with open arms,” Carrera told TVyNovelas. “It is an honor and a privilege to be able to work alongside celebrities such as Fernando Colunga, Jorge Salinas, Susana González and Marlene Favela.”

Danilo Carrera will also be supporting his colleagues at Univision during the Teletón USA 2015 on December 4 and 5.
