After making the rounds with "Mr. Pig," the movie he produced and directed, at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, Diego Luna might jump on board a new project starring Ellen Page.

Luna, who has a leading role in the upcoming "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," is expected to join the cast of the "Flatliners" remake movie. The new film, directed by Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), will have the same plot as the original Academy Award nominated flick, which was released in 1990 and stars Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, William Baldwin, Oliver Platt, and Kevin Bacon. "Flatliners" is a Sci-Fi psychological horror movie about a group of medical students who experiment with near-death experiences.

Luna will "most likely portray one of the medical students," according to Variety. Besides his new gig, the Mexican actor and director has two films on the way: "Blood Father" starring Mel Gibson and "The Bad Batch."
