The new "Doom" title is set to launch next week for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC, which means Bethesda Softworks will start to amp up its promotions for the title as to get more gamers excited. And today the publisher has done just that releasing the launch trailer for the game.

The new video is only a minute long and features plenty of gory gameplay footage from "Doom's" single-player campaign and shows no shortage of demonic hellspawn monsters exploding into tiny pieces all over the place.

Furthermore, there was also a modern "Doom" homage to the original game's cover art shown, reports Polygon. The artwork was painted by the late Don Ivan Punchatz. Check out the artwork here.

The site further goes on to say Bethesda and "Doom" developer id Software will have another homage to the original game when the title launches. The new "Doom" will ship with reversible cover art that evokes Punchatz's colorful and iconic work.

As for gameplay, the title will feature a single player mode that is described as having "badass demons, big effing guns, and moving really fast" as key principles, according to id Software executive producer Marty Stratton. The game will feature a large arsenal of weapons, which can be collected and swapped by players throughout the game. Fans should be excited as classic weapons such as the super shotgun and BFG 9000 will return as well as melee weapons such as the chainsaw.

The game will also feature a new multiplayer aspect developed in conjunction with Certain Affinity. Several modes have been announced including: traditional four-player deathmatch, Domination, Warpath, Freeze Tag and Clan Arena.

Again, "Doom" will launch Friday, May 13, for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. You can pre-order the game here.
