Mexico is celebrating its victory over Croatia and Mexico City is in full swing. In fact, much of the city has shut down to make way for the crowds chanting and cheering El Tri's victory. The center lanes of Paseo de la Reforma are closed at the height of the Angel of Independence, where 500 thousand of the capital's police guard have been placed after the triumph of the Mexican National Soccer Team. El Tri defeated Croatia 3-1 and advanced to the next round.

At the end of the match, the head of the Ministry of Public Security of the Federal District, Rodríguez Almeida, said that the watchdogs and safety in the vicinity of the Angel will remain "until the last person wants to leave," and the work of the Police will concentrate there. The officer saw the game at the SSPDF facilities and called on citizens "to have fun and enjoy this triumph of selection, but do so with caution and remember that there is still a long way to go."

The capital police will also monitor the air with a helicopter 'Condor Squadron' as well as security cameras throughout Mexico City. The head of government of the Federal District, Miguel Angel Mancera, said separately that the SSPDF have the support of the ministries of Government and Civil Protection in monitoring the celebrations for the 3-1 win over Croatian Mexico which Mexico achieved in Brazil in the World Cup 2014, taking them to the round of 16.
