Gina Rodriguez is keeping the promise she made early 2016 when she said she would highlight Latinos once a week with her social media campaign "Movement Mondays."

As part of the campaign, the Puerto Rican actress has praised colleagues such as Oscar Isaac, Rosario Dawson and Diane Guerrero, with the hopes to see more Latinos in Hollywood. This week, she is kicking off with the wonderful and diverse cast of Disney Channel's upcoming show "Elena of Avalor."

The brand new series tells the story of Princess Elena, a bold, caring, funny and clever 16-year-old who is ascendant to the throne in the fairytale kingdom of Avalor. Young actress Aimee Carrero is the voice of Elena, a brave and adventurous teenager who saves her kingdom from an evil sorceress and must now learn to rule as crown princess until she is old enough to be queen.

Elena’s adventures will lead her to understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders, while highlighting the importance of family and family traditions.

The "Jane the Virgin" actress is so stoked with the upcoming Disney project that she even dedicated her "Movement Monday" to the entire cast.

"Elena of Avalor, the first Latina Disney Princess. I have so many incredible friends who have been a part of this project and together we can make sure it has a long lasting life on screen!," she expressed on Instagram. "Here are some of the amazing actors involved @AimeeCarrero @JennaOrtega @IAmJorgeDiaz @JaimeCamil @IvonneCollOfficial and many more!," she added, emphasizing that she is very thrilled.

"Very excited for this project! And feeling really blessed the Latino community has a princess for our little ladies all over the globe! (A fierce, strong and intelligent princess)."

Elena is Disney’s first Latina princess. The new Disney Channel series is set to premiere in July.
