Enrique Iglesias was not going to let a hand injury rain on his parade. No señor! Nearly a month after the drone attack that sliced Iglesias' finger, the Spanish pop singer is back on stage. The 40-year-old heartthrob made his comeback on June 27th in Lawton, Oklahoma where he performed for U.S. troops at Fort Sill.

He made the big announcement the night before the event, stating on Twitter: "Lawton, Oklahoma! See you tomorrow! Show is free for all Air Force Reserve troops, family & friends of the community. #honored."

The event, where he sang his best hits to over 15,000 troops and their family members, was his first public appearance since May 30th ---the night he injured his hand during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico.

A month ago, the singer sliced his fingers when he grabbed a drone during a 12,000 people show from his Sex and Love World Tour in Tijuana, Mexico. The singer was "semi-treated" after the accident to stop the bleeding and despite being told to cut the concert short, he kept performing for another 30 minutes or so. According to a statement to The Associated Press, “Iglesias was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to L.A. to see a specialist.”

Though he was honored to perform for our troops early this week, Iglesias' hand was not fully healed, as he sang with "a special brace and bandage," reports Billboard. You know what they say, the show must go on! And indeed, Iglesias will resume his tour on July 3rd in Mexico City.
