Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are one of the most private Hollywood couples. They’ve always gone above and beyond to keep the paparazzi away from their daughter Esmeralda Amada, and now that they’re reportedly expecting a second baby, the pair is planning to keep it that way.
The actors want their kids to have “non-Hollywood” childhoods, for which they’re doing everything they can to keep them away from the spotlight. This does not mean the couple doesn’t have a fun, kind of normal life. “They just go out of their way to make sure Esmeralda gets to grow up as normal as possible. Whenever Eva and Ryan are together, they look very happy,” a source told People magazine.
Up to now, the family has been successful in keeping the paparazzi away from their daughter. Even last Halloween, the couple wanted Esmeralda to have a normal trick-or-treat experience so they stepped out in full costumes. Eva and her baby wore matching skeleton outfits with face paint and Gosling was unrecognizable in a Grim Reaper mask.
Just last week, Us Weekly broke the news that Mendes and Gosling are expecting their second baby. The site stated they had confirmation of the pregnancy from a source close to the 42-year-old actress, and added that Mendes is already in her second trimester.
Even though the couple has yet to address the news, recent reports revealed that the mother of one was spotted with Gosling in Los Angeles on April 14, and she appeared to be trying to hide her baby bump with her over-sized bag.
According to E! News, the Cuban-American star has not been photographed at any celebrity events or parties since last December. Plus, Mendes went on the “Today” show last October and said she was “taking a break from Hollywood to focus on her family.”
