While the world argues between who’s the better player: Ronaldo or Messi, a new debate has social media a buzz lately and it comes from Lionel Messi’s FC Barcelona teammate, Neymar. Neymar has always been known for his style and pizzazz on the pitch, but he has stirred the social media pot again with something that doesn’t even have to do with his play. The world is immersed in the mystery that is Neymar’s new haircut.

Neymar scored twice against Turkey on Wednesday, and also against Almeria last weekend to help keep Barca atop the La Liga standings with Real Madrid, but while fans were applauding his skills on the pitch, they really were all asking themselves, “What’s up with Neymar’s new haircut?” Twitter went wild during the match as #NeymarHaircut became a trending topic. People from all over the globe were tweeting their thoughts on the Brazilian’s new do.

Although a majority of people hated Neymar’s new hairstyle as much as we did, some people, including Neymar himself actually loved it. FC Barcelona’s official Instagram posted a picture of Neymar’s new haircut praising Neymar Jr.’s new buzzed look. It appears that Neymar’s hair stylist might have gotten a little carried away with the trimmers over the weekend, as the entire side of his head, including the back has been buzzed to the scalp. They trimmed a bit off the top, though it still hangs over in Neymar’s signature style. There was no fade with the trimmers however, no blend, nothing that made it easy on the eyes.

Neymar’s hair is ever-evolving and we don’t believe his current look will last too long. For the 2014 World Cup in his home country of Brazil, Neymar went circa 1996 with his frosted tips look, and had even rocked the “Justin Beiber” hairstyle in the past. Now that we’ve dedicated an entire article on the ridiculous topic of Neymar’s hair, tell us what you think in our poll below. Do you love it? Or do you hate it? Just don’t pull your hair out deciding.
