Will Fernando Carrillo really become the next "James Bond"? Possibly. Here's what we know! Instagram @FerrCarrilo / Columbia Pictures

Fernando Carrillo has been living a calm life after being accused of sexual assault back in 2014 and completing his sentence. In fact, he is dancing his controversial past away as he's currently one of the contestants on "Bailando Por Un Sueño" in Argentina. It seems, however, as if Hollywood has been eyeing the tall and handsome actor to become the next "James Bond."

Yup. That is the latest in your daily dose of Carrillo news.

According to People en Español, the Venezuelan actor is considered to be the next leading role in the popular movie. If that is so, Carrillo will become the first-ever Latino to nab the action-packed role of the Secret Service Agent 007.

"It's the first time Hollywood considers a Latino," Oslan Osorio Productions allegedly stated of the important movie role. The production company also noted that Carrillo has the advantage that he lived nearly 10 years in London and that is why he is a possible candidate to replace Daniel Craig.

Although the news has yet to be confirmed by Barbara Broccoli and Tom Rothman, who are responsible for casting the next Bond, the "Rosalinda" actor could not help but to tease his fans on social media. "Están llevando a cabo las últimas negociaciones y sigue creciendo la expectativa para ver quién será el nuevo Agente 007," he expressed on Instagram, according to People en Español.

In another post, the 50-year-old telenovela star shared a screen grabbed of a news article announcing the news that he could possibly replace Craig. Whatever the case, we are glad the actor is on good tracks!

Carrillo was arrested back in November 2014 after Beline Castor, a woman who works as a security guard in the building where Carrillo lives in Miami, Fla., accused him of force-kissing her, authorities reported.

According to the document, the actor and singer approached Castor and went behind the counter, where she was working, grabbed her head with his two hands and kissed her on the lips. Castor pushed him away but Carrillo insisted he could not help it because she has “a big butt.” When police arrived at the scene and questioned Carrillo, he allegedly admitted to have kissed her and added that he did not see what the big deal was, since that is how people interact in Venezuela.

In a statement, the Venezuelan star explained that his sentence is of one year of probation, 250 hours of community and a $750 fine that will begin on May 21st, reported TV y Novelas.

Though he accepted the sentence, the actor assured that he was innocent and he never force-kissed Castor. However, "he refuses to give judge Andrew Hague or the American judicial system an opportunity to imprison another Latino." Carrillo stated that Hague is racist against Latinos for sentencing him "without any proof or evidence against him."
