Former Miss Universe Amelia Vega Expecting Baby Number 3 With Basketball Player Husband Al Horford

Former Miss Universe  Amelia Vega  always posts the cutest photos and videos of her family, but this time around her glow was different. The Horford-Vega family just announced they will be welcoming this year baby number three with a sweet image – literally! Amelia, her husband NBA basketball player Al Horford, 2-year-old Ean Joel Horford Vega and 1-year-old Alía Horford Vega smiled at the camera wearing blue and pink outfits while holding a baking tray filled with lettered cookies that read “Baby in the oven.”

It's still unknown if Amelia is expecting a girl or a boy, but by the photo she shared on Instagram everyone can tell how excited they are. “Surprise! Happy to announce that our family keeps growing,” wrote Vega using the hashtag #Baby3.

After the Dominican actress and singer shared the good news with the social media community, followers immediately sent blessings to the family. “Congratulations, both of you are great parents,” wrote a user.

To date, Amelia is the first and only Dominican woman to be named Miss Universe, in 2003. She was crowned in Panama at the age of 18, being the youngest winner since 1994, plus the tallest Miss Universe winner on record witha height of 6 feet 2 inches. During the pageant, Amelia also won the National Costume competition.

Vega comes from a family of artists and beauty queens; her mother Patricia Polanco Álvarez, was also a national titleholder in 1980, representing Dominican Republic at the Miss World pageant. The 33-year-old is also niece-in-law of Grammy Award –winner and Dominican musical legend Juan Luis Guerra.
