“Game of Thrones” fans were in for a serious shock last night, while they were expecting big things from the royal wedding between King Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell, they had no idea death would be a part of the celebration. In episode 2, “The Lion and the Rose” two of the most powerful houses in Westeros, the Lannisters and the Tyrells, were joined together in holy matrimony. However the union was short-lived because Joffrey was poisoned and killed while toasting to his new bride. The shocking death at the newly dubbed “Purple Wedding,” has turned the “A Song of Ice and Fire”-inspired series into a murder mystery. However fans received more clues than they realized in last night’s episode. Like most secrets in “Game of Thrones,” the devil is in the details. So check out some of the tense dialogue between the royals at the “Purple Wedding,” and see if you can put some of the pieces together.
