If any particular scene will define "Game of Thrones" Season 5, it will be Cersei's "Penance Walk." For fans that are unaware of what the Penance Walk scene (you should be ashamed of yourself), it is the shocking consequence when Cersei's incestuous affairs are no longer a secret to the people of King's Landing. It will also be the highly anticipated nude scene of Cersei actress Lena Headey.

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 will follow Cersei's impressive rise in power as she takes on her role as Tommen's regent. In George R.R. Martin's book "A Feast for Crows," Cercei Lannister allowed the High Septon to restore the Faith Militant, which was her end of an agreement that also canceled one million gold dragons that the crown owed to Faith, which further secured her son Tommen's place on the throne.

The Faith, now emboldened by power they haven't experienced since they were disbanded by Jaehaerys I, arrest Margaery Tyrell and her cousins when Osney Kettleblack allegedly confessed to bedding the girls. Eventually, the High Septon realized that Osney's confession was a lie that was ordered by Cersei in order to get rid of Margaery. Ultimately, the plan backfired and Cersei was arrested for the murder of the previous High Septon.

As a prisoner of the Faith, Cersei denies to have killed the previous High Septon, but confesses to the current High Septon of her affair with her cousin Lancel Lannister and all three of the Kettleblack brothers, knowing that the confession will not earn her an execution.

Before her trial, the Faith will shave Cersei bald and strip her naked before forcing her to perform the Penance Walk, also known as the Walk of Shame, from the Great Sept ot the Red Keep. All the while, the crowd of people in the city will jeer and throw disgusting filth during the walk.

The pivotal moment almost didn't happen as the producers intended to film the scene outside the Church of St. Nicholas at Dubrovnik, Roatia. Church officials did not permit the crew to film as the church held a rigid policy against public displays of sexuality. Eventually, the HBO show decided to film select scenes near the location and build a fake set of the church so that Lena Headey would not be naked in the church itself. All in all, Cersei's Walk of Shame took four days to shoot and cost a total of roughly $200,000.

Security was heavy and the use of cell phones were banned in order to avoid leaks and spoilers. However, it looks like the precautionary measure were not enough to stop leaked photos to appear on the internet. Without further ado, click here to see images from the set of Cersei's nude scene.
