Tyrion Lannister 'Game of Thrones' Season 5
Find out what characters will be missing from Season 5 of "Game of Thrones," that are included in GRRM's "A Feast for Crows." Game of Thrones

We'll never understand why "Game of Thrones" creator George R.R. Martin will kill anyone we care about, but it looks like more of that will be happening during "Game of Thrones" Season 5. In particular, Tyrion Lannister may not live to see Season 6.

HollywoodLife sat down with George R.R. Martin recently to discuss the fate of Tyrion following his epic escape that brought "Game of Thrones" Season 4 to an end. According to Martin, Tyrion is one of his favorite characters. However, because he does not love Tyrion as much as he hates predictability, Martin said that fans should consider all deaths inevitable.

"Well, I did cut off his nose, so…" Martin answered vaguely when HollywoodLife asked about Tyrion's death. On the show's appeal, Martin also said: "I want to be on the edge of my seat. So, the deaths are important and at all times necessary."

"I love all my characters, of course, but Tyrion has always been a favorite," Martin admits, however. "He is the easiest to write ... The only thing that is hard is that it takes me days and sometimes weeks to come up with the one-liners that Tyrion comes up with in, like, a minute. I wish in real life I was nearly as acerbic and funny as Tyrion."

At the end of "Game of Thrones" Season 4, the badass dwarf managed, just barely, to escape execution when he was freed from his prison cell by his brother Jaime. Just as Tyrion was about to take the stairs that leave King's Landing, he turns around to climb to reach the lord's chambers to kill his father. Tywin Lannister would die on the toilet in the hands of his dwarf son that he never loved.

Regardless of Tyrion Lannister's fate, we know we will be rooting for him. The "Game of Thrones" Season 5 release date is expected to be officially announced later this year, but it is already expected to premiere in April 2015.
