After announcing the Movement Mondays social media campaign, which highlights Latinos in Hollywood, Gina Rodriguez launches the "We Will Foundation." Evidently, Rodriguez is out to change the world, one step at a time. The Puerto Rican actress is now using her voice to empower young aspiring women to follow their dreams like she did.

The foundation, whose title honors her father's motivational phrase: "I can and I will," is "designed to focus on arts education and scholarship funding for the less fortunate, with the aim of empowering young women," according to Variety. “If art is to imitate real life, why not release art that is positive, empowering, uplifting and inclusive no matter race, gender, body type or economic background?," Rodriguez said in a statement.

Variety also reports that the non-profit organization already began its mission by donating $10,000 to both the Westside Family Health Clinic and the Mar Vista School Enrichment Group. Earlier this week, the "Jane the Virgin" actress received the Young Humanitarian Award at the Unite4: Humanity event, where she delivered a very emotional acceptance speech. Check out the heartwarming moment after receiving the award from Wilmer Valderrama.
